Richard's films included the charming comedy, Don't Take It to Heart! (), and the disappointing biopic, Showtime (). In , the ambitious Greene (accompanied by his wife who'd been offered a Fox contract) returned to Hollywood hoping to take up where he'd left off. Reply

Dec 31,  · One of my favorites to play with my band or mando/guitar duo is Richard Greene's fiddle tune "The Indiana Waltz". It hangs on the mandolin beautifully, has interesting chord progressions, and can hold its own without a fiddle. Available on the Richard Greene & The Grass Is Greener recording "Wolves A' Howlin'". Richard Greene is an American violinist who has been described as "one of the most innovative and influential fiddle players of all time". Greene is credited with introducing the chop to fiddle playing while working with Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys, the invention of which he attributes to pain in his wrist and arm and "laziness". He featured the technique in his performances with Seatrain. Reply
