Ignored upon its release in and celebrated upon its reissue in , Shuggie Otis' fourth and last album Inspiration Information exists out of time -- a record that was of its time, but didn't belong of it; a record that was idiosyncratic but not necessarily visionary. It was psychedelic soul that was released far too late to be part of any zeitgeist and it was buried at the time.9/ Reply

Jan 23,  · This album is genius. It feels isolated yet complete, concerned mostly with itself, on a carrier frequency of the music of the 60s, 70s, and a synthesis of electronic that was to come/5(46). Reply

Immediately, he liked "Ice Cold Daydream" and "Strawberry Letter ". The latter song was played at his brother Louis Johnson's wedding during the wedding march. Louis suggested the song to their producer Quincy Jones for an album track. The track's complex guitar solo was played by Lee Ritenour. Reply

Mar 29,  · Really good pressing, clarity, depth and soundstage to die for, grab a copy ASAP. On another note, I wonder if this would ever get an audiophile grade run, can’t imagine all the hidden gems that would come alive in such a pressing!/5(31). Reply
